It’s Friday, February 17th – and while the cold remains, the sun is winning the battle. Areas of blowing snow and localized drifting of snow are expected in rural areas across southeast Fremont County much of Natrona County, due to strong winds gusting up to 50 mph, and patchy blowing snow is expected in the Cody foothills. There’s a winter weather advisory in the Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range, as well as in the lower elevations of Natrona County, with blowing and localized drifting snow expected, and winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
Central:
Partly sunny in Riverton today, with a high near 21, but wind chill values as low as -15. Casper can expect areas of blowing snow today, with sunny skies and a high near 33, but wind chill values as low as -10; windy, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Partly sunny today in Shoshoni, with a high near 22, but wind chill values as low as -30.
Mostly cloudy overnight in Riverton, with a low around -3. Partly cloudy tonight in Casper, with a low around 21; breezy, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Mostly cloudy in Shoshoni tonight, with a low around -5.
